Ministers
Pastor John Fitzsimmons
Pastor John was inducted as Lead Pastor of Larne Elim on Sunday 4 April 2021. He’s married to Joanne and they have two sons – Judah and Regan. John’s originally from Belfast and Joanne Ballymena but they recently moved back to N. Ireland after almost 15 years ministering with Elim churches in the West of Ireland. They’ve been married since September 2006. In his spare time John enjoys reading theology, photographing the beautiful landscape of Ireland and watching football. John’s passion is unpacking the story of the Bible to help people know and follow Jesus in everyday life. His desire for Larne Elim is to see everyone reaching their full potential as they grow deeper in relationship with God and one another, and to see others reached and impacted with the grace and truth of Jesus.
Pastor Robert Ginn
Pastor Robert was inducted as Associate Pastor of Larne Elim on Sunday 4 April 2021. Prior to going into Pastoral ministry he worked full-time as a Senior Nurse Manager in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. He been married to Linda since January 1986 and has two sons and a daughter-in-law – Robert, Peter and Megan. Robert is also an IFA Sports Chaplain and the Chaplain to Ballynure Old Boys FC as well as being a trustee on the Management Board of ‘The Stauros Foundation’. In his spare time we loves gardening, socialising and going for a walk. His prayer and desire for Larne Elim is that we all may have a deeper relationship with God out of which we catch a passion to reach the community of Larne and beyond with the message of the Gospel. That through our witness many will begin the journey of faith and we’ll have the privilege of the discipling them.
Elders
Charlie Lynn
Charlie has been a part of Larne Elim for 32 years. As well as being an Elder Charlie is also the church treasurer. He’s retired but previous to that he worked in Ballylumford Power Station for 30 years. He is married to Margaret and they have three adult daughter and three teenage grandsons. In his spare time he loves to do a bit of reading, photography and fishing. His prayer for Larne Elim is to see the Holy Spirit move in the church seeing salvation and God’s healing power on a weekly basis and the church reaching out to the local community.
John Richie
John has been a part of Larne Elim for 32 years. He was employed by N.I.E. as a productivity services engineer until he took selective severance aged 54. He then did a BA Honours degree at University of Ulster, Jordanstown. His last six working years were spent working for the North Eastern Education and Library Board in various locations. In his spare time (if there is such a thing!) as well as reading the Bible he enjoys reading history and biography as well as supporting Larne Football Club! He also gives PowerPoint talks on various aspects of military and local history. His wife Marlene and family mean the world to him, and God has blessed them by giving household salvation. He would love to see the Holy Spirit moving in our church, that we might impact our community for the Lord.
Deacons
Graeme Bell
Graeme has been a part of Larne Elim for 18 years. He’s a Yard Operative for a local company in Larne. In his spare time he enjoys doing a bit of DIY or reading. His desire for Larne Elim is to see the church fired up and local people being saved from spiritual blindness.
